Protecting critical lands is a noble and compelling cause for many, and we need your help to spread the word! GTRLC plans a wide array of events every year to engage people in our mission, expand access to nature for all, and enhance support for the Conservancy. We host public hikes, volunteer workdays, conference booths, celebrations of our accomplishments, and more to achieve these goals. With the help of our volunteers, we can host and participate in stellar events that increase the support and awareness of our work!

We are currently seeking assistance throughout our entire event process including the planning, execution and meaningful follow up. You may choose to volunteer for all or any part of this process. Tasks may include:
- Attending initial event planning meetings with staff
- Coordinating with vendors (caterers, tents etc.)
- Scheduling speakers or presenters
- Transporting materials and event set up
- Event cleanup
- Registration/parking guides
- Staffing educational tables or booths
- Follow up and “Thank you” notes
Much of the event work will depend on the location of the event, though some tasks may occur in our offices at the McMullen Family Conservation Center.
There are no required skills or qualifications, though the following will help with many of our tasks:
- Excellent organizational skills
- Event planning experience
- Friendly, outgoing attitude
The time requirements will vary depending on the event and the tasks you take on. All time requirements will be explained before you sign up for a specific task and may range from a couple of hours, to a couple of days’ worth of work.
All event volunteers will receive an overview of the conservancy, and training specific to the projects they take on. You will be paired with an experienced staff member to provide oversight, training and assistance throughout your volunteering!
If you’re excited to learn about and help us with events, sign up to be a volunteer today!
