This property encompasses a portion of Tobeco Creek, which eventually empties into Lake Michigan and is part of a much larger wetland complex within the Tobeco Creek watershed. The watershed includes Petobego Pond and Petobego Marsh, both of which are recognized by the Michigan Natural Features Inventory as natural areas of statewide significance.
