Protected in 2012, Nana’s Woods contains globally-rare Great Lakes open dune habitat and high-quality northern mesic forest habitat that is a continuation of the habitats on the Elizabeth Parr Preserve. Nana’s Woods alis so important for migrating birds as it sits on a major bird migration corridor following the Lake Michigan coast.
