This nursery area is located just east of the Golden Days Loon Nature Preserve. Like that preserve, it protects critical nesting habitat for this iconic northern bird. Visitors are asked to treat this property as a sanctuary and observe loons from outside of the preserve boundaries.
It includes nearly 800 feet of frontage on the North Arm of Lake Bellaire and has been used by nesting loons for many years.
