Protected, Owned and Managed by the Grand Traverse Regional Land Conservancy

Sagaser Nature Sanctuary is located in Benzonia Township, in western Benzie County, approximately one mile north of Crystal Lake. The 20-acre preserve was donated to GTRLC by Donald and Janice Sagaser in September 1992 with the intention of providing passive recreation for the public and enhancing the Crystal Lake area. Sagaser Nature Preserve is a forested property with rolling to steep topography. It has filtered views of both Crystal Lake and Lake Michigan atop a high ridge near the southern boundary. Mesic northern forest is the dominant natural community within Sagaser with human-influenced habitats including planted red pine and old field.

To help navigate the preserve please check out the Boundary Map. Please check back for a full description of this property.
