Pristine Waters is a book of photography by Dana Vannoy who was sponsored by the Elk River Chain of Lakes Conservation Network, a collection of environmental groups, including GTRLC, concerned with protecting the health and vitality of the Elk River Chain of Lakes Watershed. Imagery in the book traces water emerging in the northern and eastern areas of the watershed and its 55 mile journey through fourteen lakes and several rivers to the mouth of Elk River where it empties into the East Arm of Grand Traverse Bay. Photographs also include wildlife and the forests and farm lands supporting the watershed.
